During the final walkthrough, the buyers said to the Realtor, “It’s stuffy in here.”So the Realtor adjusted the thermostat so that the air conditioner would cool the home, making it a little bit less stuffy. Three days later and after closing the buyer called the Realtor and said, “We just spent fifty-five hundred dollars replacing our air-conditioning. We’re 82 years old and we haven’t been able to sleep. It’s not been working.” The question was, “What do I (as the agent) do about this?”
