Bob Chartuk

– Director of Client and Public Relations –

For 10 years, Bob was a spokesman for the National Weather Service and met many challenges during the agency’s $4 billion modernization. He specialized in community outreach as the weather service built dozens of Doppler weather radar stations and new forecast offices across the eastern seaboard. He helped publicize the famed Hurricane Hunters and served as international spokesman during some of the nation’s major weather events. He’s the go-to guy for his fellow surfers in tracking wave-producing storms as they cross into the Atlantic and has faced down waves twice his height during the coldest winter months.

Bob also developed winning strategies for political campaigns on all levels including the U.S. congress, state legislature, and town government. He served as Director of Public Information for his hometown of Brookhaven, N.Y. and was appointed Commissioner of Parks. He’s most proud of his efforts in government reform, cutting spending, and protecting the environment. He’s also a licensed REALTOR and has helped many people achieve the dream of home ownership.

He volunteers every year with the iMatter Surf Camp for kids with autism and is happily married to Meerah with a daughter Sarah and two stepdaughters, Hannah and Sheila.
